About us

We are an Iraqi non-profit organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and those with incurable diseases by promoting preventive and care efforts. Our mission is achieved through community engagement and leveraging national capacities, in coordination and collaboration with international institutions like Warith.

Vision

To be a national leader in comprehensive response and care for cancer patients and those with incurable diseases, founded on a partnership between community and governmental national capacities.

Mission

To provide a supportive environment for preventive and care efforts for cancer patients and those with incurable diseases by ensuring accessible and equitable treatments for all children, free of charge and without discrimination, and subsidized treatments for adults through collaboration and partnership with relevant community and governmental institutions.

Goals

  1. Provide free treatment for children with cancer.
  2. Offer subsidized cancer treatments for adults that align with their economic circumstances.
  3. Support patients needing autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants and establish treatment centers for them.
  4. Increase health awareness, promote early cancer detection, and educate on living with the disease.
  5. Build a coordinated network between the foundation, governmental and parliamentary institutions, and relevant community organizations to strengthen the foundation's financial and technical capacities.
  6. Offer psychosocial and self-care rehabilitation support to children with cancer and their families through specialized programs.
  7. Provide psychosocial support and self-wellness activities for adults with cancer through dedicated events and activities.

Programs

  • Health care and free treatment for children under 15 years old.
  • Health care and subsidized treatment for adult patients in line with their economic situation.
  • Health care and financial support for patients needing autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants, along with the provision of treatment centers.

A program focused on educating people about cancer prevention, coping strategies during treatment and recovery, and supporting community reintegration post-treatment.

Psychosocial Support and Self-Wellness Program

  • Psychosocial support for children: Skills training to help individuals understand others, recognize their emotions and fears, and provide psychological and spiritual support to help them attain stability and psychological security
  • Psychosocial support for adults: A continuous support and care network that positively impacts individuals and their social environments. This support extends through family members, caregivers, friends, neighbors, teachers, health workers, and community members, fostering daily connections of empathy, unconditional love, tolerance, and acceptance, and extends to specialized psychological care services.
